Should Bowser be a main protagonist again?

Speaking of which, I have to wonder if any citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom think Goombas or Koopa Troopas are actually threatening. Haven't they seen Mario enough times to know what to do?

They don't anymore. Said Goombas and Koopa Troopa don't even work for Bowser anymore. A considerable amount of them, anyway.

Bowser... is sort of good, but yeah, he's evil. I remember in Mario Party 2, when you beat the game, Bowser is given credit for acting the bad guy, so I thought he was gonna be good for now on, but it turns out he's still bad (and wants Peach)
