I have great memories with friends for all of them but Mario Kart DS is the best. RIP Snaking.

DS, but I miss the unique items and tag-team mechanic from Double Dash. Also, I believe I'm on record as saying that I legitimately enjoyed the bikes, tricks, and control system in MKWii, but the item insanity had reached critical levels at that point.

That item balance bull[dukar] was bad in MKWii and even worse in MK7.

I at least give credit to MK7 for vastly improving the first placer's pool of available items; you're better off frontrunning in it than in any game since MK64, and certainly better than Mario Kart Wii.

I love them all, but if I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with the 64 version.

Gotta love Wario stadium.

My daughter is having hard time with MKDS since she can't snake.  My favorite is between DD and Wii.  Did you know that Mario Kart DS is now selling for $40 used?  I know because we lost our copy (I believe a neighbor to family we visited last Xmas may have it) I was looking for another copy.  Now I just wish my Wii U could play it natively (as well as the GCN DD).  Regardless I still have the Wii and GCN.

Which Mairo Kart do you think is the easiest for a beginner like my 7 year-old daughter?

After playing MK7, I'll switch my vote from 64 to 7 due to 7 being far more polished, having way more content, as well as online play. 8 will probably take the spot once it comes out.

I'm a huge fan of all the Mario Karts which makes it tough to say. I really liked Super Mario Kart (SNES), but I almost wouldn't even categorize with the other Mario Karts because it's just so different. Personally, I'd have to say Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS are my favorites. I like Double Dash a lot and I was very impressed with Mario Kart 7.

Newspaper gave MK8 four and a half stars. Someone point out its flaws before I waste my money on it.
