Author Topic: Have you taken the SMW "Beat it in 12" challenge, yet?  (Read 3319 times)

I just did.

I began a new game and beat the game in less than 20 ,minutes. Unfortunately I died a few times and had to redo a level so I could have done it in 10-15 minutes if I practice enough.

Try it! It's at the bottom of the SMW Guide page.
http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/smw_guide.shtml

I've gotten beating Bowser down to a science. I can beat him in less than a minute and a half now.

Try the challenge! Try to not die or take the wrong exit. See if you can go Straight to Bowser and beat him without stopping or dieing.

I forgot to check my life total and score, but write them down before entering Bowsers big doors and see how high a score you can get in so little time.

in the GBA version, the score and the time are still on the screen during the bowser battle.  also if you beat him, it gives you a time bonus  ( I think 500 pt for second if I recall correctly)

just my 2 eurocents

Done it, my best time is about 13 mins.

The fastest route through Bowser's castle are doors 2 and 5.

Plus, Try not to have to redo ANY level for ANY reason, other than SW2 to get Blue Yoshi for SW4.

*My real signature went on strike, said something about "unfair working conditions". So, this is a temporary replacement sig, until I can work things out with the real sig.

From the people replying, I take it SMW on GBA is about the same layout as the SNES version? So I guess this challenge works on either.

In StarWorld 4 I just use mario with a cape and use the coine train to go straight right and then make it a block bridge and fly up.
