Gah, you're right, this IS getting out of hand. I am getting so sick of all that crud.
Anyway, Mr. Martinet is the best thing for Mario since the NES. I haven't ever heard their voices on any of the cartoons... and I highly doubt that I would like them better anyway. I think Mario's REAL voice fits him perfectly. Especially in SMS... except it's a little high sometimes, but that makes it easier for me to sound like Mario anyway (my falsetto is really wacko)... but I mean, if you listen to him, his voice is so nice and full of emotion, like he's really having a blast bouncing on those ropes. "WHEE-hahaha!!" And it's funny, too, when he tells you to "Watch it-a!"
