Watoad put up a few songs from it on the web once. The links may still be out there.

What, is that it?

I don't mean to sound ungrateful or anything, but I need the WHOLE album. Thank you for helping me get this far, though. I REALLY appreciate it.

I NEED food, drink, shelter, and warmth, but you don't see me complaining.

I can get you the WHOLE album, but you will need to wait a little bit; there is no way that I'll have time this week to get those files up there for downloading. If you stick around these forums for long enough, then I think you'll be rewarded sooner or later. That is, if you're even still here.

P.S. Pardon my sarcasm. I couldn't resist.

Actually, although you've never posted before, I have a feeling that you might still be around, seeing as you were the next member to join after sadib100. How weird.

I'm still here, you know. Been listening to the 4 tracks I have. You may not agree with me, but this is a really good album. Unlike all the other video game related songs and artists, these guys really know their stuff. They seem to know EXACTLY what they're talking about, not just spouting 'hooked on the brothers' every few seconds.

Eh, I didn't care for the album much, rather, at all.

I had downloaded the album, once, and the first 2 or 3 tracks really turned me off. So, I had deleted it. When I saw your topic, I began to wonder what was so good about it, as it sounded like much of modern music, with some sound effects thrown in here and there, contrary to what I had expected.

Feh. To each their own, I suppose.

And, I enjoyed the "hooked on the brothers" routine, for what it's worth.

Could you please elaborate on what you meant by that?
That was a joke.

I agree with you, Ppk01, that Super Mario Compact Disco is a good album—I really enjoy listening to it. However, to its discredit, the "Radio Compact Disco" tracks would for the most part sound better if they hadn't been included on the CD, and "Save Me (With Your Charm)" is super-dumb (I skip it every time I listen to the CD). One thing I will say for the "Radio Compact Disco" tracks is that they give the album a very unique feeling, making it unlike any other game soundtrack that I have encountered.

You most likely haven't done much encountering of other game soundtracks yourself, which isn't surprising. Thus you needn't be worried, Chupperson, that he's suggesting that SMCD is better than, say, Mitsuda's albums. He would probably question me if I were to say that there are over 4000 different game music albums that contain an inconceivably varied array of music of the best kinds imaginable.

One example is in 'Super Mario World', they make tons of references to the game's structure that only someone who'd actually played the game would understand. I was comparing this to various other video game remixes/spin-off trax I've heard over the past few years, and the Super Mario Super Show theme was the first that came into my HEAD. I'm not against it, (I'm a fan of the old Mario 'toonz') but...

I listened to that album for the first time yesterday.
The British voices are too much. Ehahaha.
And it's kinda too bad they used the awesome Mario Paint save music for the ultra-cheez-fest Save Me With Your Charm.
That was a joke.

You hadn't listened to it yet? Be careful, or you'll find yourself as slow getting through a bunch of CDs as I am. As for me, I'm probably in for a new record pretty soon; my 40-disc order has been placed, and I should get it in a few of weeks (or less).

Note: Although I do simply like SMCD, I also am partial to it in a special way because it's basically the single album that started my upward dive into game music.
