I believe he picked the red-overalls choice because it's the correct one, not because your jacket said so. Check the original Donkey Kong.

Yes, but why even change his overalls to blue in SMB2 then just leave them alone. And how many "stupid fatties" are at TMK?

Because they wanted to. I answered your primary question. It is not that big a mystery.

As far as I know there are no stupid fatties at TMK. The original stupid fatty sig was by Lizard Dude in a response to what someone might say if they edited his post. Red Paratroopa's sig is a combination of several peps sigs. I have over 100 signatures, but rarely use them anymore.

They make new, completely different sprites, they don't just recolor the old ones.

Let me away from this boulder!

Do they use the same program though?

If you are refering to SMB and SMB2 Japan, then they probably use the same underlying code, but SMB and SMB2 US are two totally different games. Our US version of SMB2 wasn't even a Mario game until Nintendo brought it to the US.

Ya know, I always wondered why that game was sooooo"different"! Its almost annoying but satisfying at the same time! The only reason I ever found out was because of TMK.
