Sonic X is cool but I was hoping that at the end of a series, Shadow would kill Chris! :)

But, they killed off Shadow. ;_;

Yeah, Chris is a bit of an attention hog. But, I suppose they have to have at least one character the kiddies can relate to... (Grumble)

Anime Super Mario Brothers: Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach

Thats an old movie shown in theaters back in the '80's. He wants a new series.

I'd be very skeptical over a new mario show. I'd always live in fear of some human or toad kid stealing the spotlight and the Mario Bros. only showing up at the end to save the day as with Sonic and Kirby.

As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

Yeah, that always is a very troubling thought.  Honestly, I'd be afraid that they might try and pull some cheesy stunt like Mario being able to go Super Saiyajin, or having Mario and Luigi fuse together to make Bros Man or something.  But yeah, Charles Martinet all the way.

Obviously you guys only watch crap on Fox Kids and have never seen the old Sonic anime, which totally owns or have never bothered to watch the RockMan.EXE anime, which totally owns as well (although you'd have to watch the original Japanese version to truly appreciate it)

But yes, Sonic X sucks because of that annoying kid.
200 characters and nothing to say.

I wasn't talking about Sonic X at all....

I was talking about the old Sonic CARTOON from DiC...But, I don't think it was Anime....

Ummm...we're discussing the fact that the second poster said "The japanese are the only ones who could do it right" and then we pointed out how Sonic, Kirby, and F-Zero all have kids stealing the spotlight from the real heroes. We know about the old cartoons.

The old cartoons also have thier faults too you know. The coloring and animation couldn't stay consistent and while they stayed somewhat true to the games, they almost never followed the games storyline. The Super Mario cartoons took place in the Mushroom Kingdom, but did they ever actually defeat bowser and rescue the Princess? No. And don't get me started on the Sonic cartoons.

Personally, I love Sonic X and I'm glad that Chris is in it.  Without it we would just watch cool characters without a purpose in life just walk around or play and then wait until Eggman shows up and releases a robot to do anything.  The characters don't seem to have any dreams or goals in life like other characters in anime (except the hopelessly annoying but loveable Amy), so Chris was okay for me (and I hear that he is a big help in season 3).  And man was the ending sad!  Holy cow.  But yeah, sometimes Chris gets a little too much time, and I don't like how Sonic inconsistently needs rings for power (and how no one calls Amy by her last name, Rose).

Kirby:RBAY is, IMOO, pretty predictable most of the time but for some reason I always like it that way, and look forward to seeing what our little pink friend will transform into at the end.  And listening to DDD and Escargoon talk like clueless angry morons is always funny (and so are their accents, although most everyone probably hates them).  But I saw one certain episode that had a certain monster that looked and acted too much like a... er, something I don't want to say here, that I haven't looked at it the same way since.

F-Zero:GP Legend, oh man!  How could they?  This could have been a sweet show but watered it down by taking the refuel pads and spinning attacks out of the races so we're left with nothing but boosts!  Urgh!  At least the stuff that happens off the track is pretty interesting.

Okay, enough with my opinions that few agree with.  If I were to make a Mario anime, I would try to keep it lighthearted and not too serious since Mario is such a funny guy.  And he would be the main character and everything would stay true to the games.  Same characters, same enemies, same items, same attacks, some of the same music, and all the same great fun.  Except I would probably throw in some crazy random stuff like in the other cartoons (but much cooler)and the characters would have to use teamwork and power-ups to defeat the enemies.  And to keep it new, they might combine their powers as well (like Koopa, er... Bowser in "Super Koopa").  But let's be glad that I won't be making that, unless you're really desperate.

EDIT: I wonder if Viewtiful Joe will be cool?

EDIT II: Just got an interesting idea for a plot in a Mario anime!  Maybe one day Kamek would transform all of the items in the blocks into "poison items" and Mario and Luigi would get sick and not know how.  Then Toad and some other characters would have to go to Bowser's castel and face Kamek so they could steal his wand and change them back!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.  But I think we can all agree that Mario rules and that's a fact!

Super Mario's Popularity seems to be affecting people throughout the town and all sorts of amazing ways. For groups of children for playing games of "Dash Running and Jumping" For adults of grown-ups they just like to wear a same different colors like their hero of plumbers. Super Mario's fact seems to be reaching astonishing proportions.

Shawne20: Say what?

Yoshi Rex: I think a better idea is to make a Mario show (doesn't matter if its Anime or Toon) based on the Mario RPGs since they have more story than other Mario Games and use existing characters over new ones to share the spotlight with.

Actually, as long as i get animated Bobbery, Vivian and Fawful I don't care.

Well if they do make a new Mario TV series,
then the animators could get help from
Camelot. The ones who did the CG shorts for
Toadstool Tour and Power Tennis

YR: Amen to that whole post!  It's kind of cool to have kids on the show, instead of just the same old half hour of the hero and the bad guy talking smack.  It's pretty funny watching Tiff and Tuff yell at Dedede and Escargoon time after time.

I''ve said my piece, now I''m off to some hardcore SSBM action!
I always figured "Time to tip the scales" was Wario's everyday motto.

Mr. Wiggles: I have fury!!

Back on topic, I think they should make a combo of the games. For example, Mario and the gang are racing, until Bowser kidnaps Peach on the Rainbow Road, and takes over her castle. Now, Mario has to save her. (SM64)

After much research and discussing I have come to the conclusion that kids should only be allowed on the show if they're going to be the stars. Ex: Beetleborgs, Arthur, Ed, Edd n' Eddy.

If kids co-star in a show, they most likely hog the spotlight and are generally hated by the fans. Ex: Power Ranger's Justin, Sonic X's Chris, Kirby's Tiff and Tuff.
