In this forum, you can talk about your predictions for the next Harry Potter book coming out soon!  You know, who the next Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher will be, what will happen with Lord Voldemort, and what sort of things he might get himself into.  Since predicting this could be quite hard to do (unless you think of ideas from the title, The Half-Blood Prince), you can also talk about your opinions on the last 5 books.  What was good about them, what was bad, etc. etc.

Well, I'm one of the few people who want to get this book, and it seems that a lot of things were left unresolved at the end of book five.  Like what's behind the veil?  What's important about the mirror Harry got from Sirius?  Who will Hermione be paired up with: Harry or Ron?  Or someone else?  What will happen with Luna Lovegood, or Neville, or the Weasley twins' store?  etc.

Out of the first five books, I think I like the third one the best.
The first one was good, but seemed like just an introduction to the whole wizarding world.
The second one I didn't really like that much, and I don't see much relevance of what happened in the book to the rest of the series, besides making it clear the Ginny could supply the information of what it was like to be possessed by Voldemort.
The third one I liked because of the Hippogriff, the time-travelling thing, Lupin as the Dark Arts teacher, and the idea of boggarts in general.
The fourth one was really good too, especially with the appearance of a dragon.  I didn't like how it left things unsettled at the end, what with a student dying and just the beginning of the return of you-know-who.
The second I liked probably as much as the third.  I really liked the Luna Lovegood character, and I also liked how the author was able to make so much bad stuff happen to Harry, yet he prevails in the end.  Plus it's the nesest installment, at least for the next seventeen days or so, before HPatHBP!

Thank you for visting my world, come again ... Now entering reality, welcome back.

Apparently another major character is dying, and Neville will not be paired up with Luna. Also, Draco will not team up with Harry to defeat Voldemort. Or, at least, that's what it said in my local paper. :)

Let's hope the fangirls hopes of pairing up Harry and Draco don't come true.

The only thing I really don't want to see in the next book is everyone being A-holes to Harry. Sure it's expected for Draco, the slytherins, Snape, some members of the ministry and Voldemorts followers to be like that toward him, but when everyone who knew Harry very well out of nowhere start to stay away from him thats when it really starts to suck.

Yeah, it seemed like in the 5th book when everyone was reading the Daily Prophet, they all turned against him, even some of his friends.  That was annoying.  J.K. Rowling said that the 5th book was supposed to sort of show Harry growing up.  Going through those teenage troubles, or whatever you want to call them.  I can't wait for the next book, considering it will hopefully answer some questions.

I like the 4th book best of all, because it seemed to be the most exciting and the most interesting.  I loved the Triwizard Tournament, and when the dragon showed up it seemed nothing could get better :)

I wouldn't want Neville and Luna to pair up, but I want to know what happens for them both in the next book.  Individually, of course.

Also, Ginny seems so much cooler.  Probably my favorite parts in book 5 was when Harry was all discouraged or something and she just totally beats his hopelessness.  I LOVED the line she had when they were in the library together.

Yes, Luna was quite a different sort of character.  I liked how she never let anyone put her down, she simply put it aside and hoped for the best, just like when she couldn't find her books at the end of the term.

Draco was reeeally annoying in the 5th book.  More than usual, for some reason.  He was such a jerk and I loved the part where Fred and Harry beat him up.

By the way, was anyone else sort of disappointed in some of the movies?  How in the third one they hardly wore robes, and Hermiones hair was more wavey and pretty than bushy and frizzy?  I dunno, they jhust seem to skip a lot of things in the movie, but what else is new.  They do that for every movie made from a book.  You have to learn to go by the books, not the movies.

The new producer wanted to give the movie a more casual look, hence why they hardly wore robes.

and Hermiones hair was more wavey and pretty than bushy and frizzy?

That was an improvement.

I dunno, they jhust seem to skip a lot of things in the movie, but what else is new. They do that for every movie made from a book. You have to learn to go by the books, not the movies.

Again, the new producer wanted to give the movie a more realistic feel but at the same time he left a lot of plotholes in the movie and skipped a lot of important information.

The fourth movie has another new director, so I don't know exactly what to expect.  The fifth movie also has a new director...

The fifth book had a lot of really nice moments.  I liked when Neville is walking out of the hospital and slips the "thing" into his pocket; I like when the Weasley twins put on a show for pretty much the whole school;  I like when Harry talks to Luna at the end; I like the whole book basically.

I better cut you off here, taking an overdose of Markio can be dangerous.

Yeah, I like all the books, but I can hardly remember the first one.  It seems so long ago now.  J.K. Rowling is a really good author.  She seems to know how to surprise the reader with sudden twists in her stories.  After the Harry Potter series is over, I wonder if she'll start writing a different story.

Here are a few questions based on Harry Potter books:
-If you have taken the sorting hat quiz, what house are you in?  (For me, Ravenclaw).
-Which class do you think you would enjoy most?  (Mine is Charms).
-Which character in the book would you get along with best in the book (if any)?  (For me...uh...probably Neville :-/ )

And...

-How will the next Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher be removed from Hogwarts?

I think Ravenclaw would suit me best.

Defense Against the Dark Arts seems pretty cool.

I like Luna.  I think she would be able to stand having me around.

I bet the new teacher will be trapped in a desert somewhere...

I never got a chance to read the fifth book.

I hear that this one is supposed to work as part one of the final confrontation.

Have you noticed in the 1st book Mrs. Weasley tells Ginny that she will be going to Hogwarts in a couple of years.Yet in the 2nd book she's at Hogwarts?

I watched the first and second movie, needless to say(but I will anyway), "the books were better". Therefore I have not seen the other one, and don't plan to see the future ones. Me and a nerdy friend are going to hang out at my work until 12:00 so we can buy it ASAP for the sake of nerdiness.
