Besides, everyone who's played Pokemon stadium knows that video game commentaries in general aren't that good, the stuff they say cooresponds more to the moves that are made instead of how often, quickly, or precisively they are executed. And an automated commentator doesn't have feelings and can't favor a side. (Though it would be funny to listen to after switching the game to Japanese mode)

Properly done, that would be extremely funny, but you should be able to choose between some commentators.

Mario: Welcome to the Team Battle match, with Luigi going up against Wario and Jigglypuff!
Captain Falcon: I really want Wario to win, mainly because Luigi's going to try and race me later!
Mario: Afraid you'll lose?
Captain Falcon: Yeah, right. Bring it, tubby!

... and so on.
