Author Topic: Best Games!  (Read 11472 times)

I'd say the very best Mario game was "Super Mario Bros. 3" for NES.  I don't like the idea of SMAll-Stars expanding on it!  As I say before, there's no substitute for the real thing!  I never play SMW2 : YI.  I plan on buying it this summer!  Does deezer ever post on the board?  Thanx!

"Super Mario Bros. 3" is the best-selling game ever containing Mario, and is the one most often put down as best by members of this board.  I agree the "Real McCoy" is better than the "All-Stars" version with all the bells and whistles.

A bit of advice: don't buy "Super Mario World 2."  You'll probably regret it (I did).

I agree. "Super Mario Bros. 3" is one of my all-time favorite Mario games ever! I plan on getting Paper Mario for my N64, is it worth it?

What about Kirby 64, is it worth buying? Cause I want that one too!
People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

SMW2 is my favourite game (despite Mega2's opinions). I expect you could get it cheaply now anyway, so whether you regret it or not doesn't really matter. I doubt you will, I think (and always have done) that it is the best Mario game ever made...

But then I haven't played Paper Mario yet ^_^

I liked SMB3 as much as SMW and SMRPG, but I preferred SMB2 (for some odd reason).

Hey there Todd!

I think Paper Mario is great. A bit easy at times though.

Listen, Mega 2 is the first and only person I've heard of strongly disliking Yoshi's Island.  Its a personal favorite of mine, and I'm sure there're others on the board who love the game.

If you're unsure about it (or any game) the best way to find out if its worth buying is just to rent it.

Personally, I strongly recomend the game, the play mechanics are fun and original, the characters are cool, and the story line explains some of the goings-on in the Super Mario universe.

I'd check it out if you're not sure.

Well, It's gonna be on a Grade 8 trip, and I'm gonna have like 200 bucks, so why not?  I am trying to own a wide collection, ya know!  Did you check out my and my friend's Mario website at www.chronotriggergate.com?  It's a Mario site, don't let the name fool you!  NEway, since I don't have an N64, and don't want one, I can't try Paper Mario unless my friend gets it, and he probably is!  Does anybody besides me own the Mario comics?  I own 8, and picked them up for 10 cents each at a comic shop!

Heh, well, I'll see if my reliable parents have managed to pick up some of those comics next week.

Ya know, when you turn 18 and you ask for Mario comics on your birthday you know you're growing up too slowly ^_^

Eh, what can I say... Nothing wrong with having interests. It could always be the Tellytubbies... *cough*

It'd have to be SMRPG. I like RPGs more than pure action games (but I still like them fine) and, although Paper Mario is great, I don't think it's better than the real thing, baby!

Your thumbs ache? Mario Party blisters (or at least mildly tears) my palms. I'm so glad Nintendo dropped the painful rotation games...

*zombified* Must make the Shyguy fly farther!

Paper Mario is the best Mario game. But the best game in the world is EarthBound.

Well...I have EarthBound too!  Did you know about the Zelda 3 Mario Cameo?  You go into the sick guy's house or sumthin', then you pull on the Mario picture and 20 rupees fly out!  Look for my upcoming site called "KB Zone".  Tx!

Yeah, I think anyone who has looked at The Mushroom Kingdom's game-pages knows that trick ~_~;

Fryguy, I am in the same boat as you with growing up slowly! I am 21 and still collect ALOT of things from my childhood. My favorite comic book ever is my big hard-cover Mario one! I could read it over and over and never tire of it.

I agree that SMB3 is the BEST Mario game ever made! And SMW2 is also a great game in my opinion and I would recommend buying it.
