"Really?" indeed.

I don't get it. Is the absurdity that he's comparing himself to the likes of Snoopy and the gang?

Now this is more like it:

Maybe it's like
he's shocked that he's wearing the shirt of another comic strip

or not wearing a Garfield shirt or something?

I don't know

It's not only a dog, but a dog from another comic strip. I think that's why he's spit-taking.

So why does Jon seem to be having difficulty finding a clean shirt? He used to be so obsessed with laundry.

Charles Schulz's estate should sue Jim Davis for $1.3 million for using his character's likeness.

Their estate should take a chill pill and let it be if it ends up being good publicity or makes the comic better than it would be otherwise.

I'm sure there was some sort of collusion involved.

Ever notice that it's not actually night? Leave it to SROMG to point this out.

Oh yeah, I just saw that. Of course, having originally seen that in black and white, I was none the wiser.

Jon just has a good porch light.

ShadowBrain · « **Reply #928 on:** February 16, 2010, 09:46:41 AM »

It's the bulb from that one comic where Garfield fixes the light in the fridge.

Well then it's probably the fault of whoever colored it, not Jim Davis'. I recall something similar happening with a joke in a Pearls Before Swine comic that was ruined because the colorists weren't paying attention.
