My 3DS is on pre-order.

Of course, I had to trade in my trusty DS Lite for part of the purchase price, but...

Yeah, that part kinda sucks.

Uhhhhhhh

(not pictured: the dozens of other Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games I still have and can play on this thing, the $20 it costs to buy one)

I don't have $20 to spare. And I can emulate GBA games. They just won't be quite as portable on a laptop.

Also, if a way around Nintendo's bricking homebrewed systems is ever found, I could just put a GBA emulator on that.

You'd have twenty dollars to spare if you would stop thinking you have to buy these $60 games that'll be readily available for months the day they come out.

I've got $150 worth of games coming out just in the next month and a half, all on a system retailers don't really stock games for, and I'm not in a rush to buy any of them. You can hold off on buying AAA PS3 games that don't come out for months to buy another GBA if playing GBA games really matters to you.

Also, I wonder why I even bother writing things if everyone is just going to parrot what they read in misleading "news" articles instead.

I can emulate GBA games and still buy the AAA PS3 games, which I should note matter rather more to me than playing GBA games.

Well, barring the unforeseen, it looks like I've finally successfully applied to Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, and the University of Washington!

Turtlekid1 · « **Reply #5408 on:** March 14, 2011, 10:14:05 AM »

Neat. Good luck.

I would hate attending at such large schools...

PaperLuigi · « **Reply #5409 on:** March 14, 2011, 10:38:42 AM »

I'll be impressed if you get into at least one of those schools.

bobman37 · « **Reply #5410 on:** March 14, 2011, 12:11:31 PM »

More like shocked.

Black Mage · « **Reply #5411 on:** March 14, 2011, 03:26:23 PM »

There's nothing wrong with University of Washington, but it's not really in the same league as the others. I would expect you should probably at least be able to get into that one.

Any reason you applied there?

bobman37 · « **Reply #5412 on:** March 14, 2011, 04:41:45 PM »

I think he's from Washington. I'll be shocked if he gets in anywhere else. Good luck though.

Yey for babies!

I'm a finalist for a 2k scholarship (everything counts!) and my interview is today. I am, understandably, psyched!
