Hey everybody. I recently got a Nintendo DS, and one of the first games I bought was Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Now, I love RPGs, and I love this one so far (haven't finished it yet). I loved both Paper Marios, and Super Mario RPG. Should I get Superstar Saga for my DS?
Kickin' it since 2000.

Of course! The game is fun, witty and colorful. Bros. attacks are are basically the bros. items of Superstar saga. The dialoge was full of jokes and the game features a nice storyline. The combat system was very interactive thanks in part to the aformentioned(sp?) bros. attacks. I'd suggest you get it.

Unless you want to save up for a bigger game(like Mario Galaxy).

I had the same question, although slightly different (should I have gotten SS before PiT?). It makes sense to me that a sequel to the game would have the same gameplay concept, etc, and I'm more of a totally-new-idea guy, although I've been told to disregard the sequel factor and get both of them, since they were so good.

Anyway, it's up to you. I haven't played SS personally, so I can't vouch for it, but I liked PiT and if you want more of the same (?), go for it.

Yeah, it's a really great game! Funny too. I suggest to beat SSS first, then Partners in Time. It doesn't really matter, but it make more sense. It's a bit longer than Partners in Time. On a side note, you cannot unlock anything by putting both games in at the same time. I've tried it..

If you want my technical opinion, I reviewed it and it scored a 47/50. If you want me to go crazy, bludgeoning you with "BUY THIS GAME BUY THIS GAME BUY THIS GAME," I'll do that too. If you ask Mr. Face, he'll say "This game AWESOME! Mr. Face NE-VER WRONG!" And he's not wrong. I'll bludgeon you with Mr. Face, who will shout "AWESOME! NE-VER WRONG!" while I shout "BUY THIS GAME BUY THIS GAME BUY THIS GAME." In caps, like that.
In short, yes. It's awesome.

Okay, I'm convinced. Thanks fellas. But one thing... should I stop playing PiT and get SS and beat that first?
Kickin' it since 2000.

Not really, they really don't relate too much, except one small element, but it won't destroy the whole story.

Yeah, don't worry about the stories... the games' plots are completely irrelevant. But that's what I like about Mario, the saga never continues. A new one starts over.

I liked Superstar Saga more than Partners in Time.  SS was less linear, funnier, and had a lot more Fawful.  I got bored with PiT and never finished it.

To me it seems like Superstar Saga lasted longer and was more interesting. On top of that, it was harder. I like a good challenge, sometimes.

Should you get SS?  Just like many others who have posted, I highly recommend it.  I liked SS more than PiT, but both are really great games.  I can't say this enough: Fawful is awesome.  Wait he's more than awesome!

There may be coming a day when the mustardy Fawful of mightiness will have even more popularity than the Mustaches of Red and Green.  :P

I actually liked Superstar Saga more than Partners in Time.  The gameplay felt tighter, and I liked the story a little better.
Haters gonna hate
