(OFF TOPIC) I noticed this is thread number 8888. And I like the number 8. Cool.

ON TOPIC: Your computer de-compresses ZIP files, right? I'll try tomorrow and see if I can get this to work.

 The game does indeed run.

Though, you can drive anywhere on the map, and I'm not exactly sure what's supposed to be going on. I assume you're supposed to evade the cop that goes extremely fast?

I managed to avoid it once by driving "on the trees" but it just looped as the cop never moved in any verticle direction. The sprites and backgrounds look nice, but it doesn't exaclty play well. Keep at it, and I'm sure you can work out the kinks.

Yes, I can de-compress ZIP's, but I don't know why it's saying that...

The backgrounds are from Castlevania II for NES, the bgm is from Castlevania III, and the engine sounds are from Excitebike.

Fixed it so that you can't go into the trees. If you want to reset after you crash and burn, press space. If you are caught by the cops, hit enter. Yes you are supposed to evade the cop. If you want to get rid of him, just pull into the left lane. He'll crash. Also got rid of the block blocking the right lane. Plays better than original. If you want to go faster, hold space. If you turn, you'll slow down and have to press and hold space again.

It still has a few minor glitches, but it's decent.

If you downloaded the old version, I suggest you delete it and download the new version.

Eh, it was okay. Still, I'll bet it will evolve into a wonderful huge game that will eclipse the original Mario Kart a thousandfold. Just add some crashes and cool weapons.
