Updates
Do you know what 920,651 hits on our current NedStat counter plus 79,349 hits from previous counters equals? That's right, 1,000,000 hits! We finally broke the one-million hit mark at 2:17pm ET today from a visitor with an "@Home" account (e-mail us if that's you...). However, some of our counters died a few times in the past (GeoCities' once, ClassicGaming's twice) which robbed us of hits, so we don't know if this is exactly the millionth hit, but it's pretty darn close. :) My sincere thanks goes to every one of our visitors, and to our staff members for their hard work.

Coinciding nicely with our latest milestone, we are proud to offer a totally unedited Super Mario Bros. 3 commercial! Here's the story: My long-time internet friend Amanda recently found a SMB3 commercial on one of her old VHS tapes. She then mailed it to MEGAߥTE, who converted it to three different video files: MPEG, AVI, and WMV. We hope you enjoy this very cool TMK exclusive!

Mario Kart Advance released in Japan...

Updates
The July 20th mailbag is late, and as you may have guessed, MEGAߥTE is writing it this week. ;)
Maybe I'll get it from him later today... or Sunday...

Well, I guess I'm officially back from "vacation." During those two weeks, I finished the Super Mario Bros. Complete Guide that I've been working on for about a year off and on. I'm still not totally happy with it, so it will probably be updated a few times in the coming weeks.

July 8th, 2001

Updates
After this goes up, I am officially on vacation from TMK for about two weeks. The only exception is that I will be making sure the mailbags are up on Fridays, and there will probably be two of 'em before I resume regular updates.

Taking care of business before I go...

I've gotten all the game info pages caught up, along with the addition of a Pokémon Stadium 2 info page explaining some cameos.

Please note my new e-mail address: deezer@kontek.net (from deezer@usa.net). Yes, back to deezer@kontek.net because Netaddress (usa.net) is terminating their free e-mail service at the end of July. The e-mail address for our mailbag will be changed from tmk_mailbag@usa.net to tmk_mailbag@kontek.net starting July 13th.

To comply with a couple of ClassicGaming.com's requests: 1) I have removed the non-commercial ROMs except for "Super Mario War," a homemade ROM. 2) I've started to move some downloads to GameSpy's FilePlanet download system. The commercials page is the first to be affected, with all its video files now available on FilePlanet. Happy downloading!

Speaking of the commercials, the Super Mario Advance commercial was added.

Well, I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Ta-ta!

Updates
As you may have noticed, we have a new design. For anyone without a stylesheet-savvy browser, the site might look a bit weird until I make small changes to EVERY PAGE. O_o;; So for heaven's sakes, please use IE5 or something. I'd recommend Netscape 6, but they still have not fixed their animated .GIF caching problem. Oh, and I'm sure there's some tiny thing I've overlooked, so if you find any mistakes, please let us know.

Deezer loses his mojo in this week's mailbag.

May 4th, 2001

All your mailbag are belong to us.

March 29th, 2001
Well, the Mario Mania section is filling out nicely. I've moved in all the other pages (merchandise, soundtracks, SMB: the movie, and cartoon pages), and started working on other pages there. Give it a look around, you might find something interesting.

March 24th, 2001
TMK turns four years old today. To celebrate, I've launched a new section: Mario Mania. It will cover everything Mario in "real life," like the Mario comic books, for example. The merchandise page was moved there already, and the soundtracks, SMB: The movie, and cartoons pages will move in next. So far, Mario Mania just shows an outline of what's to come, but I have added some video files of Mario-related commercials that you can download already. It's our birthday, but you get all the presents! ;-)

March 23rd, 2001
Mail call.
And be sure to check back tomorrow for the TMK birthday celebration!

Updates? You bet. Check out the 30 new fan arts. And now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be using this whole "new year" thing as an excuse to party. In the words of Prince, "Tonight we're gonna party like it's nineteen ninety-nine..." er, wait...

December 29nd, 2000
It's the second-ever mailbag; we're on a roll!

December 27th, 2000
The most frequently-asked question I get concerning gameplay is "How do I get through the Fortress in World 8 of Super Mario Bros. 3?", so I've mapped out the level and added it to the SMB3 guide.

Hmm, these last few updates sure have been slim. I'll try to have a huge update for January 1st, regardless of the new mailbag scheduled for December 29th.

December 22nd, 2000
Behold, the first weekly mailbag has arrived. Well, at least we're trying to make it weekly, and it won't happen without your valuable contributions. So don't hesitate to send any and all brain-droppings to tmk_mailbag@usa.net!

December 18th, 2000
One new box art.

We got some really good questions already; keep 'em coming! Send questions, comments, or whatever's on your mind to tmk_mailbag@usa.net, and it might appear on our first edition of the grand reopening of the TMK mailbag on December 22nd.

December 13th, 2000
The Mario Party 3 preview was updated.

Okay here's the deal: we are bringing back the mailbag. This time, it will be updated weekly, with one of the staff members handling the questions each time. Of course, the more messages we get, the more we can answer. So, if you have any thoughts, comments, or questions about Mario games, and wouldn't mind one of us making a smart-alecky comment about it for the whole world to see, send it to tmk_mailbag@usa.net. Be sure to check back Friday the 22nd for the first edition of the TMK mailbag!

December 1st, 2000
The Tetris "A-Hack" special is finally completed. I feel it's a must-read for fans of Tetris Attack and/or Pokémon Puzzle League, featuring yet another game-to-game comparision -- including nothing about Pokémon Puzzle League at all...

Starting today, I will be taking a vacation from updating so I can concentrate on studying for finals coming up next week. Regular updates will resume on or around December 13th. See you then!

Also, I've started adding 30-second MP3 samples to the soundtracks section.

Important notice
All the e-mail on deezer@kontek.net that I had not saved to my hard drive is gone. This includes fan art, fan fics, link submissions, etc. For obvious reasons, I am switching back to deezer@usa.net (let's hope they fixed their attachment problems). If you have sent in fan art after July 17 (I was really behind...) please re-send it. Thanks for your cooperation.

September 27th, 2000
Donkey Kong (VIC-20) info page up. Added info about the "Minus World" bug for the Famicom Disk System version of Super Mario Bros. More info on the Super Mario Bros. 3: From Japanese to English page (Kuribo's Shoe, King's chamber, ending, World 5-1). The added info on SMB3's World 5-1 corresponds to the newly-added World 5-1 bug that only works in the Japanese SMB3.

Semi-important notice
From now until I specify otherwise, please direct all e-mail to deezer@usa.net until the technical difficulties with deezer@kontek.net are fixed. If you've sent an e-mail to deezer@kontek.net yesterday, I have not received it, and it is possible I might not ever receive it, unless it is re-sent to deezer@usa.net. Thank you.

September 23rd, 2000
Bad news: Paper Mario's release has been pushed back to early 2001. More details >>

September 22nd, 2000

September 17th, 2000
Updated a little later than usual, but still on the 17th. ::Phew::

New stuff for today: Five odd and exciting bugs! One for SMB3 and SMB2(J), and four for the original SMB, including: Mario turns Goombas and Spinys into Koopa Troopas, and Mario gets a Mushroom from heaven!
Also, one new (updated) Mario Party MIDI.

September 12th, 2000
Info pages up for Golf: Japan Course and Golf: US Course.

Please note: Updates might be thin (much like the last two) for a while. I've been getting massive hours at work lately, and school starting for me on the 14th won't help either.

September 7th, 2000
SimCity 64 info page added. White Knuckle Scorin' soundtrack info page now with cover art and track list!

September 2nd, 2000
As if you really needed another reason to play Mario Tennis, Blockbuster will be giving away some prizes to winners of their "Blockbuster Cup." More details >>

August 31st, 2000
Think you're unbeatable at Mario Tennis? Nintendo is giving you a chance to prove it!

August 30th, 2000
I hope you all are enjoying Mario Tennis. What a great game! Oh yeah, so here are today's updates: Added the Mario Tennis box art. New stuff on both the "Japanese to English" pages of Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Bros. 3. Broke my own record for Vanilla Lake 2 best lap in Super Mario Kart.

August 25th, 2000
Hot off the presses! Mario Kart Advance preview! Mario Party 3 preview! I'm using too many exclamation points today!

August 24th, 2000
The Nintendo Game Cube was unveiled at Space World 2000 today. Commence drooling.

I'm not counting this as a regular update, and I'm off today (woo hoo!), so check back tomorrow or the 26th for more Mario goodness. Let me just... change my pants first... ;)

August 21st, 2000
It was inevitable: the Mario Kart 64: From Japanese to English page has arrived. Also, there are four new manuals and two new box arts.

August 16th, 2000
The Paper Mario preview has been updated with some item and character info. Unless you live in Japan, "you saw it here first!" or something. Also new is a review for Mario & Wario.

August 11th, 2000
Four new box arts, including the Japanese Paper Mario and Mario Tennis 64 boxes! Also, some new Super Mario Kart records were updated for Bowser Castle 1 (all times).
After you've tried to beat some SMK records (hint hint), why not check out the new "Miscellaneous" catagory in our message board? There are now areas for general topics, and ongoing stories/RPGs.

August 6th, 2000
One new Super Mario RPG code, and one new Super Mario All-Stars bug... which means a ZSNES movie of how to perform the bug was also added.

Also, I've merged the old game-specific FAQs with the guides section, thus creating a guides and FAQs section.

August 1st, 2000
Ten new box arts, and a brand-new ZZT games page.

July 27nd, 2000
Hmm, I've been into "game info" lately... Here's what's new: Made a separate page for the Game & Watch releases, while completing the list. Added the Mario statue screen shot from SimCity (yay! :-). Last but not least, there is now info about the Picross NP series (volumes 1 - 8).

July 22nd, 2000
Two new guitar tabs, of the SMB3 variety to be exact. And the Super Mario Bros. 3: From Japanese to English page was updated. Read, and be enlightened (hopefully).

July 17th, 2000
I've added 15 new fan arts, which is about half of all the new submissions. More to come. Also, there is one new Winamp skin, one new Wario Land 3 MIDI, and one new SMB .WAV file.

July 12th, 2000
Well, my annual summer sickness came along the night before I was going to finish preparing the update. Figures. Here's some stuff that I had ready to go:
More info for the Nintendo GSM 1: Super Mario Bros. 3 CD. And more info on Mario's cameos in Kirby Super Star and Qix.

July 5th, 2000
Sure, this update is one day late, but I decided to delay it and add twice as much stuff. I hope it isn't a problem. ;) After finally getting a chance to really sit down and tackle my e-mail after a long while, I've assembled a nice collection of fan art/fics. I didn't feel like sorting them out for this update, but fear not - they'll probably appear in a few days.

So what's new, exactly? Well, there's the all-new Donkey Kong 64 info page, a fonts page, and two Mario-related Nintendo GSM soundtracks info. Some new Winamp skins were added, and screen shots were finally added to the Tetris (GB) and Donkey Kong Country 3 pages. Last but not least, the Wario Land 3 box art is up.

June 29th, 2000
Updated the Mario Tennis (N64) preview with more info, and a generous helping of screen shots. Also, one Mario Golf MIDI was added.

June 26th, 2000
Busy, busy busy... but unfortunately, not busy with this site. :( I think I'm off Tuesday, so I'll be able to get some stuff done, especially on the upcoming "cool new special" that I really want to release as soon as possible. And I haven't read much of my mail over these last five days, so consider yourself lucky if you got a reply.
Updates? You bet. I added the Wario Land 3 level list to the Mariopedia, and I put up the complete Yoshi's Safari SPC collection. Enjoy!

June 21th, 2000
The first of the fan fiction is finally up, with lots more waiting to be added. (I'll get to it eventually...) Also, the first MIDI is in for Wario Land 3, seven new manuals were added, and two new pages are up in the soundtracks section. Oh yeah, and all you emulation-savvy visitors can check out the SMW "beta tester stage."

June 16th, 2000
Another late update! :(
No, I'm not slacking off, it's just that it's hard to update when I'm not home. Anyway, check out the freshly-updated Paper Mario preview. Stay tuned, I might actually add the fan fiction page soon! But now, it's time for another six days in a row of work... ×_×;

June 10th, 2000
Lots of things to talk about today. First, I should mention that someone found the hidden page on June 6. Congratulations to "Pegasus Team"! (I won't post his/her e-mail address because I know everyone will mail him/her asking how to find the hidden page.) The hidden page was put up on September 9th of last year, so I was kind of worrying that I made it too hard to find. I guess it's not. :)

Second of all, two different people have mentioned that they thought they saw TMK mentioned in EGM magazine sometime in late '99, or possibly early 2000. Unfortunately, both people have misplaced that issue. Weird. Anyway, one source said it was in a subscriber-only section called "Sushi-X" or something. If anyone can confirm this, please let me know, and if possible, I'd also like a scan of the page(s) and cover page. Thanks.

Third of all... updates. There's five new NSFs, and 11 new fan arts. Three of them are old; I found them while I was cleaning out my inbox. Better late than never, eh? ^_^;;
Next update I'll be adding a fan fic page as promised in the message board. So all you writers have about five more days to get your stories in for the page debut...

June 5th, 2000
This update was delayed a bit because of FTP problems. You may have read about it on the message board. Or not. Anyway, today there's two new fan arts and two new box arts.

May 29th, 2000
After consistent "peer pressure" from TMK staff, and the poll's responses, I've finally given in and added a message board! Note that this is not the upcoming "special" first mentioned in the 5/20 update. Said special is still being worked on, and will probably see the light of day sometime in June.

May 25th, 2000
Updated the Mario Tennis 64 preview with more screens and info. Also, four new fan arts, and one new TetriNET theme.

May 20th, 2000
I've just added a form to the links page to make submitting your link even easier. Yes, this will just get me even farther behind in the links update, but hopefully the also-new "report dead link" feature will save me time, as I won't have to sift through the list for broken links as much. Oh yeah, there are new MP3s, too.

Even though I still can't seem to find much free time these days, I am trying to get this cool special out soon, which I've been SLOWLY adding to for about three weeks. Stay tuned! :-)

May 15th, 2000
Lots more soundtrack info! I'll try to put some sound samples up for them soon.

May 11th, 2000
One new guitar tab, and new fan poetry. Sorry for the small update; not much free time lately. Still, it's better than nothin', eh?

May 6th, 2000
One new Super Mario All-Stars bug, two new SMAS ZSNES movies, and two new box arts.

May 1st, 2000
The Mario in Japan special continues with Super Mario All Stars: from Japanese to English.

April 27th, 2000
I apologize for the belated fan art, but I had to study for some tests. There are seven new ones, by the way.

April 26th, 2000
New Mario Tennis 64 preview, reformatted an old quiz, and added a Mario Party 2 level list. Fan arts will be added later on today.

April 21st, 2000
One new Winamp skin, one new Super Mario World ZSNES movie, and one new box art. Bigger update next time, I promise!

April 16th, 2000
I didn't get a chance to upload the news about Mario Tennis 64 until now, but thanks to everyone who mailed me about it, which made sure I didn't forget. Not much free time in these past five days, so here's my last-minute update: two new box arts.

April 11th, 2000
Forget about what it says about changing the playlist on the WTMK: Mario Radio page for right now. We're testing out all the songs, so the playlist has already changed twice since it started broadcasting! (There's always a few classics that seem to make it onto every playlist, though... ;-)
Now, it's update time. I've added a long-overdue Yoshi's Island guide. And there are new SMW bugs, along with the corresponding ZSNES movies that show how to perform them.

April 7th, 2000
Check out the brand-new WTMK: Mario Radio! There was also a codes update.

April 3rd, 2000
Added some Super Smash Bros. icons, one new box art, and Famicom release info.

March 29th, 2000
Thanks to all those who filled out the poll! I expected maybe 20 submissions total, but I got five times that! Anyway, like I said in the birthday special, I was going to base some future updates around the poll results. So far, most people want to see more cartoon info, so I handed over the cartoons section to JJ in order to lighten my workload. I've uploaded some SMB Super Show info that's he's done so far.
I've also added eight new fan arts.

March 24th, 2000
Today is TMK's third birthday! I didn't have enough time to prepare a huge update, but enjoy the five new box arts and 15 new fan arts anyway. There are a few more fan arts at my usa.net account that I cannot access because they are "performing maintenance" on the mail server. I will add said fan arts next update. Oh, before you leave, please fill out our new poll. Thanks!

March 20th, 2000
I would've had some new fan art up already, but I got addicted to GB Donkey Kong (again). Sorry. The update for today includes new SMB and SMB3 records, along with a brand-spankin'-new Super Mario Bros. Deluxe: From English to Japanese page. Enjoy. Oh, and on March 24th, TMK turns three years old! Wow. That's all for now; I should probably stop typing before I add any more one-word sentences.

March 15th, 2000
I've been getting a lot of the same questions lately, so I have now pointed most e-mail links to a Mario FAQ. This FAQ combines previous FAQs with some new questions/answers. So from now on, if you have a question, please read the Mario FAQ first. Thanks.

There has been a long drought of Mario news, so I thought I'd draw your attention to the latest news tidbit about Mario Party.

March 12th, 2000
The Hotel Mario manual was added, along with four new box arts. Also, try your hand at our brand-new Donkey Kong challenge.

March 7th, 2000
The Mario Gras 2000 contest is now over! The winners will be announced here as soon as Mr. Dayton passes the results on to me. Thanks to all who entered!

March 6th, 2000
New Wario Land 3 preview! Lots of info added to the Japan releases page, including release dates. Added more screen shots to the SM64 bugs page, and new ZSNES movies of SMW2 bugs and a Wario's Woods bug.

March 1st, 2000
Sorry about that impromptu vacation, but I just needed a break. After updating once every five days for almost a year, I think I deserved it. ;) Now that my brain has rebooted (so to speak), I'm eager to post some new Mario stuff!

What's new for today? Well, there's a new (but overdue) Stunt Race FX info page. For you guitar-toting Mario maniacs, there is one new Super Mario 64 guitar tab. And while testing out my new scanner, I scanned two new Mario merchandise thingies.

February 21th, 2000
Well, my new computer is up and running. I'll have a real update soon...

The Mario Gras 2000 contest is almost over! To give away more prizes, we need more entries... Keep 'em coming!

February 16th, 2000
Lotsa box art, eight new ones to be exact. Five new fan arts.

February 11th, 2000
La la la, random new stuff, as always: staff page, SMBDeluxe "guide", and started the soundtracks page. Some info is up now, and reviews and samples will soon follow.

February 9th, 2000
Added four new guitar tabs, and a new search feature to the left sidebar menu thing. The search script will temporarily(?) be hosted on KonTek.net. Sorry about the small update... there will be another one in a few days.

February 4th, 2000
New Super Mario All-Stars bugs page added, 12 new fan arts, and the Mario in Japan special continues with Super Mario Bros. 3: From Japanese to English

January 31st, 2000
Added a Super Mario 64 review and a Mario Party 2 trick. Also, the record was broken for most points in SMB World 1-1! The "arena" has a NESticle movie file of this accomplishment.

January 26th, 2000
TMK is the proud host of David Dayton's Mario Gras 2000 contest. You have a month to participate, so enter early and often! If you don't want to enter, why not tell your friends, so they can win some neat Mario stuff? ;)

January 24th, 2000
All new Mario Party 2 info page. Also today, the ZSNES Movies page debuts with about 15 Super Mario World movies. If you have ZSNES, you can watch how to perform some of those incredible SMW bugs.

January 19th, 2000
New Mario Party review, three new box arts, four new fan arts, and one new TetriNET theme.

January 14th, 2000
This site was up and down for about a week while ClassicGaming.com moved to a better server. These technical difficulties couldn't have come at a better time; I have been in bed for about 4 days in a row with a cold/flu thing, so I wouldn't have been able to update anyway. Here's a small update for now: one new SM64 bug. I also added some screen shots to the SMW and SM64 bug pages.

January 7th, 2000
One new MP3, one new SMW2: Yoshi's Island trick, and one new Winamp skin.

January 2nd, 2000
New Mario Kart 64 review, and two new fan arts. Wow, what a lame update! I promise I'll have a bigger one next time...

Random links for after you've finished with TMK for today... ;-)
Miyamoto tribute @ Nintendorks.com
Tendo Box

December 28th, 1999
Four new game boxes, three new bugs (check the "new" list). This will probably be my last update of '99! Let's hope my computer and ClassicGaming.com survive the "Y2K bug"... heheheh. :)

December 23rd, 1999
Added a TetriNET themes page, and some new SMRPG tips & tricks.

December 18th, 1999
Two new fan arts. Added a DKJr(Arcade) bug, and more new stuff in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section (check the "new" list).

December 13th, 1999
Game & Watch Gallery 3 info page and box art added. The three-part influx of SM64 bugs ends with two more additions. More new stuff in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section (check the "new" list).

December 8th, 1999
Working six days a week while going to school is not fun. Small update: Four more new SM64 bugs... and more new stuff in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section (check the "new" list).

December 3rd, 1999
There is new stuff in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section (check the "new" list). Basically, there's some stuff about Super Mario 64 that should've been up a long time ago. There's some overdue SM64 bugs also.

November 28th, 1999
About a year and a half's worth of reviews for the Super Mario Bros. movie were added, and finally an accurate SMB movie soundtrack music listing. Updated and added to the site FAQ.

November 23rd, 1999
Four months later than planned, the characters section is now up. (Sigh of relief.)

November 18th, 1999
Yet another brand-new quiz was added. Two new fan arts.

The reason for the small updates lately is that I'm finishing up an exciting new "project" that will hopefully be done in about five days.

November 13th, 1999
Added a Mario Party 2 preview. And another brand-new quiz was added! (Hmm, I still have to finish reformatting the older quizzes...)

November 8th, 1999
A brand-new quiz was added! Also, there is new stuff in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section (check the "new" list).

November 3rd, 1999
Almost forgot to upload the update today, heh heh. Enjoy some all-new Mario Golf (N64) .WAV files.

October 29th, 1999
Added a Game & Watch Gallery 3 preview. One new fan art.

October 24th, 1999
Added an info page for Mario Golf (GB). One new Winamp skin. I also beefed up the emulation section a bit, check the updates there.

October 19th, 1999
New stuff in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section (check the "new" list), and three new fan arts. That's it for today... now it's time for some more Mario Golf action! :)

October 14th, 1999
There's one new fan art, and two new SMB2 bugs, along with two SMB2 NESticle movies showing how to perform the bugs.

Recently, PowerShoes agreed to assist with the MIDI archive. Today he added five new MIDIs, and he plans to add more soon.

October 9th, 1999
Box art added for Mario Golf (GB). Info pages added for Mario Golf (N64) and Mother 2. For all those requesting a link to their site, the links page has been updated. If you've requested a link and I haven't added it, then yell at me.

October 4th, 1999
This time I was actually ready for "update night," heh heh. A few days ago I finished pictures and descriptions for SMB3 stuff in the Mariopedia. There is one new Winamp skin in the downloads section, five new fan arts, and one new Yoshi's Story .WAV.

September 29th, 1999
The 29th already...?! Eeek. Where does the time go?...
Speaking of time, step in the way-back machine and check out the new Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. (for ColecoVision) info pages. Then marvel at my laziness while looking over the "new" Super Mario All-Stars guide that was formed by cutting-and-pasting parts from the SMB2(J) guide. Those two guides really need some work; I'll work on them the next time a "guide-improvement mood" occurs during my "enough-free-time-to-sit-at-computer moment."
Oh yeah, the other platforms game list was updated as well.

September 24th, 1999
I felt bad about that lame update yesterday, so while I had the chance (no classes today!), I added a Super Mario Adventure preview, and a Vs. Super Mario Bros. info page.

September 23th, 1999
The first day of Autumn, how depressing. Well anyway, today we have six new fan arts, plus some changes and additions to the SNES SaveRAMs page. I'd love to have more stuff for y'all, but college stuff is taking up a lot of my time. Sigh.

September 18th, 1999
New NSFs page. New Donkey Kong (Atari 2600) WAVs. Two new fan arts. Lots of homework. :(

September 13th, 1999
Yikes... "update night" came up fast. That dreaded "real life" thing is keeping me busy, and it'll only get worse with school starting on the 16th. Sigh. But enough about me, let's talk about updates! Some much-needed screen shots were added to the Japan releases page, which brings the screen shot total well over 400 (!). There are seven new fan arts, and there was an update to the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section.

September 8th, 1999
As I expected, my Mario Circuit 1 Super Mario Kart records were shattered! (Sigh...) In the downloads department, there are two new SMB .WAVs, and four new game box images. Also, there's a whopping 15 new fan arts! And finally, new screen shots have been peppered throughout the Game Boy and NES game info pages.

September 3rd, 1999
Well, after numerous attachment failures, I've "switched" e-mail addresses to deezer@kontek.net. I'll still check deezer@usa.net once in a while, but make sure you direct all file attachments to deezer@kontek.net, OK? Thanks. :)

Oh, I suppose you want updates now? ;) Let's see... assistant editor MEGAߥTE has put up our Super Mario Kart records. There are also seven new fan arts and two new guitar tabs.

August 29th, 1999
Three more games covered in the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks section. Nine new fan arts. Every "major" Mario game in the Super NES list has at least one supplementary screen shot now. Whee.

August 24th, 1999
While extremely bored, and not feeling like working on the Mariopedia, I whipped up a totally fake interview with Mario. As for the usual set of updates, we have a bunch of new stuff on the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks page, one new Super Mario World bug, and three new fan arts.

August 19th, 1999
All-new Mario Golf cheats/codes page, one new Super Mario Bros. DX bug, all-new Winamp skins download section, and one new fan art.

I was currently visitor #199,663 to TMK. Barring any technical difficulties, TMK should get its 200,000th hit sometime this evening! (By the way, the counter reset to 000000 on the 14th. I knew on the 11th it was at least 196,000. Using the hits-per-day count on my NedStat statistics page, I put an estimated amount (197,735) back on. It's safe to say the current count is accurate, give-or-take 100 hits.)

August 14th, 1999
Today we have one new Super Mario Bros. 2 guitar tab, one new fan art, and records were shattered in the arena. (Hmm, maybe someday I should combine the arena with the records page...) After a long hiatus, I've resumed work on the Mariopedia. The SMB3 stuff is nearing completion...

August 9th, 1999
Well, I was able to pry myself away from work and Mario Golf to work on this site a bit. For this update we have three new fan arts, and the Mario in Japan special continues with a short-but-sweet look at Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

August 4th, 1999
Whoo, man, if I didn't have to work, I'd be playing Mario Golf 24/7. What a great game! Well anyway, I've added some new guitar tabs, ten new fan arts, and a new special: Super Mario Bros. 2 Madness.

July 30th, 1999
Today we have two new box images up, including the Mario Golf box. There's also one new Super Mario Bros 3 .WAV, new stuff on the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks page, and six new fan arts.

July 25th, 1999
Mario Golf comes out tomorrow, woo-hoo! I'll be picking that up on Tuesday. :) As for updates, we've got one new Super Mario All-Stars .WAV, five new Super Mario RPG images, and ten new fan arts.

July 20th, 1999
As you may have noticed already, I added a column on the right of the page. This is for news concerning Mario, and other stuff. All the news that was below this "updates" part is now archived on a separate news page.
Lots of new fan art today... ten new ones to be exact. Keep 'em coming, I love this stuff! ^_^
Oh yeah, and quiz #3 has been reformatted.

July 15th, 1999
Today we have eight new MIDIs for Mario Party, new stuff on the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks page, and three new fan arts.

July 10th, 1999
Mario Golf for N64 will be out on the 26th... only 16 more days! Check out the Mario Golf preview and see what it's like. Also, we have SMB2 and SMB bugs/glitches added, along with NESticle movies showing how to recreate them. Last but not least, check out the 5 new fan arts.
Next update I'll put up some new MIDIs or something. Yay!

July 5th, 1999
Lots of stuff going on in the emulation section today... The "Mario Improvement" page (which is now level editors) has been updated, with new levels, and the sort-of-new Mario Improvement3. One new SMB NESticle movie added. I wanted to add more movies, but I didn't get around to the bugs/glitches update yet... stay tuned.
Also, check out the 5 new fan arts (surprise, surprise).

June 30th, 1999
Added some stuff to the cheats/codes, passwords, tips & tricks page. And don't forget the obligatory new fan arts. The first three are the new ones this time.
For the next update, I want to add to the emulation section and the bugs/glitches page.

Yesterday must've been "E-mail Deezer Day" or something... jeez. I didn't get around to reading my newest mail, sorry. I wish I could quit my job and work on this site all day, but alas, I need money to buy food, so I can keep living, so I can work on this site... ;-)

June 25th, 1999
Twelve new fan arts were added. I still won't put up the "NEW" tags on them, because the page is only three updates old, and new ones have been added every time.

Sorry about the deluge of fan arts if you're not really into that kind of stuff. I hope to have more variety in the next update, like maybe an update to the emulation section, links, glitches, or previews... Depends on my mood.

TMK is now sister sites with Sonic Headquarters. This does not mean that TMK will become a Sonic site, nor will SHQ become a Mario site. I've always been a non-biased gamer, as there are games I like on every system, and hopefully this cross-promotion deal will spread the non-biased gaming feel to others. I will have more info on this later, but for now check out this page on Sonic HQ which should answer any questions you may have. (Use IE because for some reason the table doesn't load in Netscape).

June 20th, 1999
Two new fan arts were added.
And, um, see the update below. My schedule will clear up in the middle of the week, so stay tuned.

June 15th, 1999
New section: Fan art!
Also, the cheats/codes, passwords, and tips & tricks pages were combined into the Cheats/Codes page. I hope I didn't screw anything up in the process.

I've been rather busy lately... I'll be lucky to reply to your e-mails this week. There's like 20 messages from the last two days that haven't been read yet. If you sent me something, hang tight and I'll get back to you A.S.A.P.

June 10th, 1999
New section: MP3s!
No quizzes today, sorry. I've been playing too much Super Mario RPG...

June 5th, 1999
I am feeling better! Woo! Here's the updates for today: Two quizzes are back up, the Mario Clash manual is finally in, and the Mario in Japan special continues with Super Mario RPG - From Japanese to English. Find out how much the game changed before it was released in America... I hope you find this as interesting as I do.

May 31th, 1999
I am, like, deathly ill or something... [cough]... Small update this time: One new Wario's Woods (SNES) bug/glitch.

May 26th, 1999
The quizzes return! Well... just one, actually. I've changed it so the quiz no longer sends you to another page to tell you your score, so it's easier to find and correct your errors. I'll try to redo the rest of the quizzes for the next update, along with some new ones if I have time.
Also, one new non-commercial ROM was added.

May 21th, 1999
I got lots of questions about the Lost Levels recently, so I added a Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan) guide.

May 16th, 1999
Five images added to the merchandise page.

May 11th, 1999
Super Mario Bros. DX was released yesterday! If you haven't seen it yet, I've added the SMBDX box art if you want to check it out.
I've been getting lots of e-mail about Super Mario World lately, so I beefed up the SMW guide for anybody else looking for game help.
The bugs/glitches section also was injected with an update shot; there is one Wario's Woods (SNES) glitch posted.

Mr. Soda@NeoPlanet.com: My reply to your e-mail bounced back to me. Let me know of a working e-mail address where I can reach you at. Thanks.

May 6th, 1999
Three new Super Mario Bros. 3 bugs added. There are also new SMB3 NESticle movies to show how to recreate the bugs.

Super Mario Bros. DX will be out in four days! Looks like it's time for me to buy a Game Boy...

May 1st, 1999
If you haven't noticed already, Super Mario World descriptions and pictures (!) were added to the Mariopedia. Jeez, that stuff took forever... Also, the links page was updated. If you want your link there, or if I forgot to add a link to your page, yell at me.

April 26th, 1999
Super Smash Bros. is out today! To celebrate, I put up two new "smashing" game box images. That's it for today; have fun with Smash Bros. :)

April 24th, 1999
Check out the brand-new History of Mario special. And don't forget, Super Smash Bros. comes out in two days. I hope I don't have to work on Monday...

April 19th, 1999
Four new NESticle movies, and the Arena was updated. Coming soon: an update to the links and Mariopedia (I've finally acquired extensive Super Mario RPG info...).

In other news, The Mario Headquarters has started updating again. Check it out.

April 14th, 1999
Check out the brand-new Mario in Japan special! I love this stuff. :-)

April 9th, 1999
Five MIDIs added. Party on.

April 4th, 1999
Seven new MIDIs, one new guitar tab, and the YKYPMGTMW... page was updated.

April 2nd, 1999
A previews page was added, along with previews for Super Mario Bros. (GBC) and Super Smash Bros. There are four new bugs/glitches listed, including three from Super Mario World. Last but not least, three new codes are up.

Check back on Easter Sunday. Along with a TMK update, I will post a link to my brand-new site! Although it will be mostly unrelated to Mario, I'm hoping it will do really well. :)

March 29th, 1999
Tetris Attack (GB, SNES) descriptions added to the Mariopedia. I apologize for the small update. Stupid school and my stupid job are taking up too much of my time, plus I spent most of my free time working on some new section for this site that I didn't finish.

March 24th, 1999
Today is TMK's second birthday! To celebrate, I've redesigned the whole site. All game info pages have had a little bit more technical info added. The "Name Origins" and "Mario's Connection to..." pages are now part of the Did You Know? page. For you visitors with JavaScript-savvy browsers, the Remote Control was shrunk down a tad. That's it for now; check back soon! During the next updates I'll be adding screen shots and the game reviews you've all sent in (finally).

As always, if you encounter any broken links or errors, let me know.

  • 03.13.98
    • Blah blah blah
Only 11 more days until the big birthday bash here at TMK. The redesign is nearing completion, and it will hopefully arrive on the 24th.
    • MIDIfied
Did I already use that headline? Well anyway, I added four new MIDIs. Finally!

  • 03.08.99
    • Merchandise
Twelve additions to the merchandise page.
    • Mariopedia
I added Wario's Woods (SNES) pictures to the Mariopedia. This was supposed to happen last update, but I was too addicted to EarthBound at the time.

  • 03.03.99
    • Mariopedia
The Levels page was moved to the Mariopedia. Later on today I will be adding more pictures to the aforementioned encyclopedia...
    • Mmm... cookies
Five additions to the merchandise page. I was too lazy to add all I had, so check back next update for some more merchandise.

  • 02.26.99
    • Blah blah blah
The results are in from that mini-poll last update. Four people want me to keep the remote, and five people say "KILL IT!". So it seems people are actually using the Remote, which comes as a shock to me. I'll keep it for the ones that use it, and just shrinken it a little. If you don't like it, you don't have to use it :)
    • Yawn
Added three new boxes. Not too big of an update this time... I've been working on some other sites, and the redesign for this site. Check back in a few days for some new Mario merchandise, and a Mariopedia update.

  • 02.21.99

  • 02.16.99

  • 02.11.99
    • Blah blah blah
I've got the new design for TMK finalized! Hopefully I can get every page reformatted for the big birthday bash on March 24th.
    • Buglicious
Two new SMB bugs, and five new SMB2 bugs are in. As always, I encourage you to please send in any bugs you know of that I don't have listed.
    • NESticle movies
To compliment the bugs/glitches update, I've made NESticle movies showing how to perform the bugs.

  • 02.07.99
    • Box art
Added five new game box images. New additions include Mario Party and Mario's Tennis boxes.
    • New desktop theme
There's a new Microsoft PLUS! theme available for download.
    • Mariopedia
All Super Mario Bros. 2 descriptions were added to the Mariopedia.
    • I'm-a Wario, I'm-a gonna ween!
PowerShoes's great Wario site, A Little Insight on Wario, has returned!

  • 02.03.99
    • Games
Screen shots are finally in for PilotWings 64! Also, the Mario Teaches Typing 2 info page was started.
    • Revenge of the MODs
Due to popular demand, I put the MODules page back up. This time, no cheap MIDI -> MOD conversions are included.
    • Mariopedia
All Yoshi (GB, NES) descriptions added to the Mariopedia. If anyone could lend a hand with SMRPG descriptions, please do.

  • 01.30.99
    • Images
Nine new Mario Kart 64 images were added.
    • Mariopedia
The Mariopedia is finally starting to take shape... All Super Mario Bros. and Wario's Woods (SNES) stuff now have descriptions. If anyone could lend a hand with SMRPG descriptions, please do.
    • Par-tay!
Mario Party minigame names added to the levels page.

  • 01.26.99
    • Blah blah blah
Well I don't really feel like reformatting 25 NES info pages, only to redo them again in less than 2 months for the big redesign. Maybe I'll do one every week... or not. They'll have to sit there and look ugly for a while, I guess.
    • Images
Whoah! I dusted off the Image Archive with 12 new Super Mario Kart images.
    • Mariopedia
The Mario Encyclopedia has a new name. Also, all Mario Bros. (NES) stuff has been added, with descriptions.

  • 01.22.99
    • Small Games update
All Game Boy game info pages have been converted to the newer format. Also, icons were added to The Games section to (hopefully) better represent the cameo appearance situations.
    • Manuals
Check out the Manuals page for instructions for Mario Clash and Mario's Tennis. Although they're not complete manuals, it's better than nothing.

  • 01.18.99

  • 01.13.99
    • Mario Soup
Here's some stuff that I did over the week that weren't worthy of updates to the front page: All SNES game info pages converted to the newer format; screen shots finally up for Kirby Super Star and Game Boy Camera pages; Mario Kart and Wario's Woods stuff added to the Mariopedia.
    • Ess Emm Are Pee Gee Ess Pee Sees
Rejoice! MEGAߥTE ripped more SPCs from Super Mario RPG.

  • 01.08.99
    • Games
Screen shots for Mario is Missing (SNES) are finally up. Also, all Nintendo 64 game info pages have been converted to the new format.
    • Bonus MIDI
This would've gone up with the batch of MIDIs being added soon, but I've gotten lots of requests for this MIDI, so here it is: "Walk the Dinosaur" from the Super Mario Bros. movie soundtrack.

  • 01.04.99
    • The future of TMK
What do I have planned for TMK in '99? Well, hopefully I'll get every page in the Games section reformatted before TMK turns two years old. Also on the birthday, a new site design will be unveiled.
    • Learn with Mario
Screen shots for the Mario's Early Years series are up -- a TMK exclusive! You can access the pages via the Games section. Also, all Virtual Boy game info pages have been converted to the new format.

  • 12.31.98
    • The last update, ever...
...in 1998, tee-hee! Looking back on it, 1998 was a scary year for TMK. If everything goes according to plan, 1999 should be TMK's best year yet! Stay tuned....
    • More SPCs
SPC file packs for Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG, and Tetris Attack were updated.
    • Emulation
One new ROM (SMB for SEGA; no joke!). Super Mario RPG now playable on ZSNES 0.800! And also, check the updates page for some interesting files.

  • 12.24.98
    • Merry Christmas
It's Christmas time. This means TMK's second birthday is three months away! I'm considering a slight redesign for this event, only to further improve navigation.
    • A Bug's Life
Twelve new bugs/glitches posted for Super Mario World, and two for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

  • 12.20.98

  • 12.16.98
    • Blah blah blah
TMK has been on ClassicGaming.com for almost a month now! Hopefully it will stay here for a looong time. Oh yeah, and don't forget to worship ClassicGaming.com.
    • Mariopedia
The Mario Encyclopedia now has all enemies, items, and friends listed. If I have missed something, or if something is incorrect, please tell me.
    • Games progress
The Alleyway info page reflects the new format that will soon be applied to every other game info page.

  • 12.10.98
    • Blah blah blah
Small update this time due to studying for final exams, working more hours for the holidays, and helping with the rebirth of Patent Pending. Christmas break starts next week, meaning bigger updates!
    • Empty your wallet
There are 13 new items featured in the Mario merchandise section.
    • Games progress
Info page reformatting for the games have stopped, only because I'm still not happy with the info pages' layout. I am working on a new layout which may be done and uploaded by next week.

  • 12.03.98
    • 1×105
On December 2nd at 10:36 CST, this site received its 100,000th hit! Thanks to "Tommy," the 100,000th visitor for e-mailing me, and thanks to all the other 99,999 visitors!
    • Sub-Spaced Out
I added a Super Mario Bros. 2 Guide.
    • Encyclopedia progress
All Items have been added to the Mario Encyclopedia, but only a few have descriptions. If I've missed any items, please let me know.

  • 11.29.98
    • Closing in on 100,000
At the time I typed this update, the counter read 99,495. In about two days, TMK will get its 100,000th hit! What will I do to celebrate? Probably nothing, but you never know...
    • Zounds!
Added 28 LoZ: Link's Awakening MIDIs. I have more new MIDIs, but I was too lazy to put them up. Look for them soon. Also, I added a Super Mario RPG SPC file.

  • 11.25.98
    • Gobble. Gobble.
Thanks to Thanksgiving, I'm working 11 days in a row. I was lucky to squeeze out an update this week. My next day off is Saturday (11.28.98) so expect a big update Saturday night or Sunday.
    • maRiOMs
Three new ROMs are up: Kart Fighter, Somari, and Mario Lottery.
    • Encyclopædia progress
The Mario Encyclopedia is coming along slowly but steadily.

  • 11.19.98
    • ClassicGaming.com is God
TMK gets a second (more like seventh) chance thanks to ClassicGaming.com. Worship them.
    • Redeezign
For long-time visitors of this site, you'll notice a few changes: Images is now The Games, Sounds is now Downloads, The Games is now Reference. I removed the MODs section because anybody with a decent MIDI to MOD converter can convert all the MIDIs on this site to MODs, and I would do it myself if it wasn't a complete waste of time. Everything that was "left over" on the Misc. page all got pages of their own. Top Ten Lists was changed to YKYPMGTMW.... Item and enemy lists are being combined into the Mario Encyclopedia. I think that's about it. If you find any errors while you're browsing the site, let me know.
    • More downloads
All-new SPCs page added. Yoshi's Story instruction booklet added.
    • Fak me, baby
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island FAQ added. Only has two questions now, but it's just getting started.

  • 11.12.98
    • Not exactly "Xooming" along
Well, TMK has been on Xoom for one week now, and was actually working for about 5 hours. The day after I get on Xoom, they decide to upgrade their server, which put all member sites out of commission for almost a week (sigh). I'll try to find a better server as quickly as possible.
Remember that Xoom doesn't recognize the .SHTML extention, so if you're using anything less than IE4.0 or Netscape 4.5, you'll have to browse TMK through here or you won't see the site properly. Sorry.
    • Updates?!
Yes, the updates still find a way to seep in. I put up Tetris Attack (GB) passwords and Yoshi's Story instruction booklet errata.
    • The Future of TMK
Expect small updates. Until I find a better server, the huge TMK redesigning process won't begin.

  • 11.04.98
    • What Happened?
Due to server problems on netside.simplenet.com, I have moved (temporarily) to http://members.xoom.com/deezer/. Xoom was the best choice since they don't make you put banner ads on your site. BUT I do only have a 11MB limit on Xoom, so nothing else will be up except HTML and MIDIs. Sorry.
Internal links will not work on some browsers, because Xoom doesn't recognize the .shtml extension. If you are using IE4, this shouldn't be a problem. If you are browsing the site and see everything as raw HTML code, click here. If you had to click there, internal navigation will not work -- I'm NOT going to edit 185 .HMTL files and change every instance of .shtml to .html (in one night)! We'll only have to put up with this for a short while until I can move to a better server.
    • Reminder
Just a friendly reminder that game info pages in the Games section are constantly being updated and revised.
    • Future update(s)
Look for new quizzes in the near future. I am also planning on expanding the images and sounds sections.

  • 11.01.98
    • Voilà!
I changed the main page again. Because every other Mario site is now using the "ReBucked" font for their logo, I changed the font face on my title logo and image map to "Comic Sans MS". Another change is that I made the "Updates" part of this page dedicated to one day at a time, so I can include more info about the latest updates. This new front page design should segue into the new site design planned for the new year.
    • Measley Codes update
Added a Wario's Woods (SNES) code.
    • Remotely familiar
I added a floating remote control today. The "remote" only works if your browser can handle JavaScript. If you have any problems with the remote, mail me a short description of the error. Note what browser you were using and what you may have done to cause the error.
    • Have You Seen Me?
PowerShoes' awesome Wario site: A Little Insight on Wario is gone! If you are PowerShoes, or if you know what's happened to his site, please contact me.

  • 07.19.98: AniGIFs

    Extended History

    • 03.24.97 - 01.15.98: http://www.geocities.com/EnchantedForest/8782/
Ugh... at the time I was on GeoCities, I had a maximum 6MB of server space. Updates were put off thanks to GeoCities' endless problems.
    • 01.15.98 - 05.15.98: http://netside.simplenet.com/tmk/
Life on SimpleNet was great; unlimited space/bandwidth, SSI and HTMLscript support. Around May '98, FTP and HTMLscript server problems made me start searching for another location.
    • 05.15.98 - 05.25.98: http://www.electronicgaming.com/tmk/
ElectronicGaming.com's webmaster requested (!) that I move TMK to his server. I did. I had unlimited space/bandwidth, CGI-BIN access, MIVA and SSI support. However, I had moved to their server during a time of serious server problems. My directory on ElectronicGaming.com was deleted twice. After the second time, I refused to have their ghetto server host my site. At this point, TMK did not exist for about 2 days.
    • 05.25.98 - 07.19.98: http://patpend.telefragged.com/user/tmk/
I moved with Patent Pending over to Telefragged. On 07.19.98, Telefragged deleted our account because they are going to develop their own emulation site. Even though they had not even started yet, we were deleted.
    • 07.19.98 - 11.02.98: http://netside.simplenet.com/tmk/
SimpleNet suspended Netside's account for reasons unknown on 11.02. SimpleNet still has not contacted Netside about this matter.
    • 11.04.98 - 11.19.98: http://members.xoom.com/deezer/
After about two days, I realized Netside's server was not going back up, so I uploaded everything to my Xoom account.
    • 11.19.98 - present: http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/
